If you don’t think Obamacare can be REPEALED. Think AGAIN! Very recent history tells us a different story. The following is an excerpt from chapter 23 of Sally Pipes EXCELLENT book entitled “The TRUTH about Obamacare“.
“Congress has reversed course on health care reform before. On July 1, 1988, Congress passed the “Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act and raised premiums on seniors to finance this new benefit. Retirees went ballistic, and in one of the most memorable pieces of news footage ever, an angry mob of elderly Americans confronted then-House Ways and means Committee chairman Dan Rostenkowski, a Democrat from Illinois. They literally surrounded his car, smacked the hood with picket signs and chased him down the street on foot.” Below is that rare and priceless footage:
Does that scene look familiar? What was the end result? On November 23, 1989, Congress voted to REPEAL this wildly unpopular legislation. With the OVERWHELMING majority of American’s demanding the repeal of the FAR WORSE “Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act”, “Obamacare” may soon end up SWEPT IN TO THE DUSTBIN OF HISTORY!
